Although the world is still emerging from the global financial crisis, many local businessmen are upbeat about the sports industry in China, according to the Annual Report on the Development of China's Sports Industry (2009-10), which was released on Saturday.
Considered China's first professional blue book on the sports industry, the report was launched at the 2010 International Sports Industry Forum at Beijing University.
This year, several big international sports events, such as the FIFA World Cup in South Africa and the Asian Games in China's Guangzhou city, are considered golden opportunities for Chinese sports marketing campaigns.
